Suicide.

I will never forget what Winona Ryder's character said at the end of the book "Girl, Interupted". It was something to the effect of.... after you survive a suicide attempt you realize how silly trying to take your own life is.

A few days ago one of my first cousins tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the face. Thank God he survived and is in stable condition...

But I cant help but wonder if he feels silly or ridiculous for what he did.

Well, I've never been more scared in my life as I was when I first got the call...couldnt stop crying and shaking.

As a person with excellent coping skills; I have no idea how to deal with this.
